My Chinese nation 我的中華民族

I want to say to the Americans the followings:

My fellow Americans, Hello! In your eyes, China is one of the world's oldest countries, so naturally she was full of questions and speculations. We Chinese people are also full of question marks in our country.

I'm really trying to tell you: old doesn't mean scary, does not mean tyranny. China has a democratic spirit, such as the Tang dynasty. From the mid-19th century, the Chinese nation exposed its weaknesses, and fell into victims of the catastrophe and tremendous humiliation of the whole nation for about a century, which was a "difficult century".

After the end of the war of resistance against Japan, China unfortunately locked into a "civil war", and until now has not yet been formally signed a truce agreement between the two sides.

Therefore, the Chinese nation is a good national nature, just once in great misery and takes a long time to recover. I hope you Americans don't make the mistake of China and the Chinese nation interpreted as threats to the world, like a "giant". China has a large number of Democrats who are in a peaceful and rational way, and strive for the national struggle for freedom and democracy, bring "the United States dreams" to China, and then practical freedom, democracy, prosperity, peace and universal fraternity "China dream". Chinese people need to put our "left-hand" and "right-hand" together, so that the Communist Party and the KMT can cooperate with each other, together paint a rainbow across the Straits, the Chinese nation stand in the world, distributing sparkling light, engendering peace with other world powers, construct great and wonderful world of diversity.

To practise these things, we need the help of Americans.

我想向美國人說以下一段說話：

親愛的美國人，您好！在你們眼中，中國是一個全世界最古老的大國，因此自然對她充滿疑惑及猜想。我們中國人也會對自己的國家充滿問號，何況是你們？我其實想告訴你們：古老並不代表可怕，並不代表專制。

中國也曾有民主盛世，譬如唐朝。十九世紀中起，以往中華民族一盤散沙的弱點暴露了出來，並陷入了全民族遭受劫難及極大屈辱的「艱辛百年」。抗戰結束後，中國不幸地陷入了一場「內戰」，而且直至現在兩岸尚未正式簽訂停戰協定。

所以，中華民族是一個本性善良的民族，只是曾經陷於極大苦難之中而需要長時間恢復元氣。我希望你們這些美國人不要誤將中國，中華民族解讀成威脅世界的「巨人」。中國有大量民運人士正以和平及理性的手法，努力為國民爭取自由，民主，將「美國夢」帶到中國，然後實踐自由，民主，繁榮，富強，和平及博愛的「中國夢」。中國人要把「左手」及「右手」合起來，令共產黨及國民黨團結一致，共同畫出一條橫跨海峽兩岸的彩虹，使中華民族在世界挺立，散發耀目的光芒，與其他世界大國共建和平，美好及精彩的多元世界。而這些這些，都需要美國人的幫助。
